We love our volunteers and welcome you to participate in your child's education at St. Patrick Catholic School! There are many different opportunities to be involved.
The Diocese of St. Augustine requires that all campus visitors and volunteers complete the Safe Environment clearance process. The Diocese manages volunteer clearance through VIRTUS - a program and service through the National Catholic Risk Retention Group.
All volunteers must complete VIRTUS training, complete the Protecting God's Children online class, have a fingerprint background check processed through the Diocese of St. Augustine and electronically sign 3 required documents found in your VIRTUS profile: Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults, Standards for Lay Employees & Volunteers, VECHS Waiver Agreement & Statement.
Volunteer OpportunitiesEnrollment at St. Patrick Interparish School is an expression of your commitment to a quality education for your children and their classmates. The involvement of our parents is one of the reasons St. Patrick Interparish School has earned the excellent reputation for which it is known in the community. Every family is required to complete 10 service hours for the school in some capacity. History has shown that most parents will put in more hours than the minimum. There are many committees and activities which offer numerous ways in which you can serve the school. Service can be performed over the summer, before, during or after school, in the evenings, on weekends, and some tasks can be performed at home.
Thank you very much for giving your time and support in volunteering to be a field trip chaperone. We believe that field trips provide a valuable educational experience for our students. In order to help ensure that school-sponsored field trips result in safe and rewarding experiences for all participants, we have prepared the following guidelines to provide information about volunteering as a field trip chaperone. All Chaperones must have valid Safe Environment clearance and an approved MVR request from the diocese. If you have any questions, please contact the St. Pats office.
