St. Patrick Catholic School teachers offer a variety of learning experiences for every child. Through differentiated lessons in all classrooms and leveled ELA and Math classes in grades 6-8, teachers produce lessons with a variety of expectations and outcomes in content, process, and product. Our dedicated and experienced teachers, learning specialists and paraprofessionals work collaboratively to help all students become successful, life-long learners.
Students in grade K-2 who are identified with unique abilities receive additional assistance from a paraprofessional teacher inside and outside of the classroom. They also receive classroom accommodations, according to their 504 or Support Plan. Students in grade 1-4 who are identified as needing intensive support participate in pull-out, classes during the school day in the learning lab in addition to the extra assistance and accommodations they receive inside the classroom. Students in grades 3-5 are also given the opportunity for additional math assistant after school, through Title 1, if needed.
Grade 5 is considered a transition year for students with unique learning abilities. Teachers in grade 5 continue to support identified students, while providing more opportunities for independent reading and learning activities. These students will continue to receive classroom accommodations as noted in their Support Plan.
We continue to support students with unique learning abilities in grades 6-8 as they become independent learners. Students who are identified with unique learning abilities are provided with classroom accommodations, as noted in their Individual Learning Plan and, according to their unique learning abilities, students will be placed into one of two leveled classes for ELA and Mathematics.
We are proud to offer Speech and Language Therapy services on campus to all qualifying students in grades Pre-K through 8th grade. The Speech Pathologist works with students who are identified with a need for speech therapy, language therapy, and voice and fluency disorders.
The faculty and staff of St. Patrick Catholic School is dedicated to the success of all students. Classroom Teachers, Learning Resource Teachers, and Paraprofessionals work collaboratively to help differentiate learning and to provide students with a variety of resources and support for this success.
